The Case Western Reserve University men's swimming and diving team is back in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America national rankings at No. 24.
The Spartans (8-2), one of six University Athletic Association teams ranked in the top 25, won their dual meet against Baldwin Wallace University, 199-98, this past weekend. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of junior Oliver Hudgins, sophomore Brody Schmidt, junior Drew Hamilton and senior Andrew Henning took first place with a time of 1:28.76, which set a new Baldwin Wallace pool record. Hamilton also picked up a win in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:38.25, which is also a new BW pool record.
The 2016-17 season is now the sixth in a row in which the program has been nationally ranked.
The Spartans will next travel to Chicago for the UAA Championships at the University of Chicago from Wednesday, February 8th through Saturday, February 11th.
