Spartans in Action during Day 2 of NCAA Championships

Each of the four Case Western Reserve University swimmers competed for the squad during the second day of competition at the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Opening the day with the men's 200-yard freestyle relay, the Spartans' team of sophomore Oliver Hudgins, sophomore Drew Hamilton, senior Aaron Tam and junior Andrew Henning placed 22nd with a time of 1:25.43. 

Individually during the day, Hudgins also placed 34th in the preliminaries of the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.02, while Hamilton finished 26th in the 400-yard individual medley with a mark of 4:13.83.

Action at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships will continue with the third day of competition on Friday from the Greensboro Aquatic Center.  Currently scheduled to compete for the Spartans during the day are Tam in the 200-yard butterfly, senior Connor Farrell in the one-meter dive, and Hamilton, Hudgins, Henning and Tam in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
