CWRU Spartans (5-4-3, 0-1-1 UAA)

The Spartans played to 1-1 double-overtime tie against Brandeis University on Saturday afternoon. Junior midfielder Connor Weber gave CWRU a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute when he struck a corner kick into the back of the net. The goal was his first of the campaign. The Spartans maintained the 1-0 lead until the 81st minute, when Brandeis' Colin Panarra evened the score, converting the shot off an assist from Noah Gans.

The score remained tied at a goal apiece through the rest of regulation, and neither squad would be able to strike for a 'golden goal' in overtime, resulting in the double-overtime tie. Weber and junior forward Seldon Magruder finished the game with a team-best three shots, while junior defender Nathan Ekberg and sophomore midfielder Sean Atwater each registered a pair of shots.

Emory Eagles (7-4-1, 1-1-0 UAA)

The Eagles defeated Washington University 1-0 on Saturday for their first conference win of the campaign. In the 85th minute, freshman Matthew Tanzar dribbled up the left side before sending a cross to center of the box where freshman Alejandro Gomez was there to one-time it home. The goal was Gomez's first of his career.

Last season, three different Spartans scored a goal as CWRU earned a 3-0 shutout against Emory. Senior Zachary Senft and Weber each accounted for goals during the game.

Rochester (N.Y.) Yellowjackets (7-4-0, 0-2-0 UAA)

The Yellowjackets fell 2-0 to the sixth-ranked University of Chicago on Sunday afternoon. The Chicago goals were scored by Sahil Modi off his own rebound in the 31st minute, and by Kameron Bloye in the 81st minute, coming off a 21 yard free kick.

CWRU and Rochester played an exciting match last year, as the Spartans came away with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Yellowjackets. Former Spartan Alex Besl connected on a header off of a free kick from Weber just over three minute into the first overtime period. Senior Garrett Winter and Ekberg tallied the other Spartan goals during the game.
