Following a tough road-loss to begin conference play, the Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team will take on University Athletic Association foe Brandeis University on Saturday, October 12th. Game time is slated for 1:30 p.m. at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.

CWRU Spartans (5-4-2, 0-1-0 UAA)
The Spartans opened UAA play with a 3-0 loss at New York University on Saturday night. The loss dropped the team to 5-4-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Junior Seldon Magruder leads the team with four goals and eight points. Senior Zachary Senft has added five points on two goals and one assist, while junior Connor Weber leads the team with three assists. In goal for Case Western Reserve lately has been freshman Jackson Kallen who has collected 20 saves in four starts.
Brandeis Judges (6-2-3, 1-0-0 UAA)
The Judges posted a 2-0 record this past week, as they earned a 2-0 win over MIT on Tuesday and then claimed another 2-0 shutout against Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday.
Brandeis has posted five shutouts in its first 11 matches, which ranks third in the conference. Senior George Irwin has started all of the Judges' matches in goal, saving 44 shots and allowing just 0.68 goals on average. Offensively, freshman Will DeNight leads the team with 10 points on five goals, while Max Breiter (three goals) and Jared Panson (two goals, two assists) have each added six points.
Junior Seldon Magruder is tied for second in the UAA in goals (4), is tied for third in points (8) and ranks third in shots (35)…Senior Zachary Senft ranks tied for first in the conference with 38 shots, while junior Connor Weber is tied for second with three assists…The Spartans have totaled 185 shots and 79 shots on goal through its first 11 games of the season…CWRU has held opponents to averages of just 4.8 shots on goal per game, and 12.5 shots per contest.
