The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team will enter the fifth week of its 2018 campaign with a non-conference match at home, and then hit the road for the open of University Athletic Association play.
On Wednesday, September 26th, the Spartans will welcome seventh-ranked Kenyon College to DiSanto Field for a 7:30 p.m. match. Following that, conference play opens with a road match against Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts on Saturday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m.

CWRU Spartans (7-1-0)
Three different Spartans scored on Wednesday night, as CWRU rolled to a 4-win against Heidelberg University. Junior Zachary Senft started the scoring just 33 second into the first half. Junior Garrett Winter then recorded two straight goals, first at the 9:14 mark and the second at the 9:51 mark. Sophomore Seldon Magruder capped off the scoring in the 20th minute after he headed a perfect cross from senior Alex Besl into the back of the goal.
On Saturday, Besl recorded his first career hat trick as the Spartans erupted for an 8-1 win over Adrian College. In addition to Besl's three goals, Senft, junior Marques Manta, sophomore Connor Weber, Magruder and sophomore Maximillian Klemm each accounted for the remainder of the Spartans' goals.
#7 Kenyon Lords (7-0-1)
The Lords erupted in the second half on Tuesday as they defeated Centre College 4-0. After halftime, Kenyon wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as they scored goals in the 51st, 75th, 77th and 79th minutes of play. Tomas Munoz Reyes led the Lords attach as he registered a goal and an assist.
On Friday, Kenyon opened conference play with a 5-1 road victory at Wittenberg University. The Lords took the early lead with two goals in the first half. They continued that attack in the second half as they increased their lead to 4-0 with goals in the 67th and 69th minutes of play. Wittenberg would cut the deficit to 4-1 in the 82nd minute, but Kenyon closed the victory with a goal at the 89:59 mark.
Brandeis Judges (3-4-0)
The Judges went 1-1 this past week, with the win coming against Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Tuesday. Brandeis defeated Mass. Maritime, 8-0, after juniors Bryant Nardizzi and Jake Warren each recorded a two-goal game.
Brandeis will host Wheaton (Mass.) College on Tuesday, before welcoming the Spartans to Gordon Field on Saturday.
Junior Garrett Winter leads the team with 14 points on a team-high six goals and two assists…Winter currently ranks tied for third among all University Athletic Association players in goals and points…Freshman goalkeeper Charlie Fink ranks third in the UAA with 21 saves, while junior Zachary Senft ranks fourth with 30 shots...The Spartans have totaled 146 shots and 78 shots on goal through its first eight games of the season…CWRU has held its opponents to averages of just 3.6 shots on goal per game, and 7.5 shots per contest.
