The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team is set to host Geneva College on Friday, September 7th at 7:30 p.m., and then will travel to Oberlin, Ohio on Saturday, September 8th to face Oberlin College for a 7:00 p.m. match.

CWRU Spartans (1-1-0)
The Spartans won their 2018 season opener 3-0 on Friday against Marietta College. Sophomore Maximillian Klemm, junior Garrett Winter and senior Alex Besl each accounted for a goal, while freshman Charlie Fink was outstanding in net as he made three saves to earn his first shutout of the campaign.
CWRU dropped a tough 1-0 loss on the road versus the University of Mount Union on Sunday. A successful penalty kick in the 38th minute by Mount Union proved to be difference, despite a strong defensive effort by the Spartans.
Geneva Golden Tornadoes (0-2-1)
In their opening weekend of competition, the Golden Tornadoes played to a 1-1 tie against Hiram College on Friday and then fell 2-0 to Lycoming College on Saturday. In the 1-1 double overtime tie against Hiram, Jake Broadwick scored the game-tying goal in the 84th minute after an assist from Alex Yoder.
On Tuesday, Geneva dropped a 3-2 match at Franciscan. Kevin Pasho accounted for both of the Golden Tornadoes goals, as he scored in the 76th and 79th minutes of play.
Oberlin Yeomen (0-2)
The Yeomen fell 1-0 to Roanoke College on Friday evening, and then dropped a 4-0 match to 21st-ranked Lynchburg College on Saturday night.
Oberlin will host Otterbein University on Wednesday, September 5th before they welcome the Spartans to Shults Field on Saturday.
Freshman Charlie Fink ranks third in goals-against (1) and goals-against average (0.50), and ranks tied for third in save percentage (.800) among all University Athletic Association players…This will be the first meeting between the Spartans and Geneva during the Coach Bianco era…CWRU played Oberlin to a 2-2 double overtime tie last season, as seniors Christian Lytle and Alex Besl each scored late goals in regulation to push the game into extra time…The Spartans have totaled 24 shots and 12 shots on goal in its first two games of the 2018 season…CWRU has held opponents to averages of 2.5 shots on goal per game, and 5.0 shots per contest.
