CWRU Spartans (5-8-2, 1-3-0 UAA)

The Spartans put up a pair of goals against one of the top defenses in Division III on Sunday, but dropped a 3-2 contest to 10th-ranked North Park University. CWRU broke a scoreless tie near the end of the first half on a free kick opportunity. Sophomore Zachary Senft sent a free kick chance into the six yard box and to the far side of the net. It was headed down by junior Christian Lytle, and knocked in by junior Paul Darmstadter. The Vikings answered with two goals early in second half to take a 2-1 lead.

The score remained 2-1 until the 64th minute, when junior Alex Besl found freshman Seldon Magruder inside the six yard box. Magruder was able to finish with a high shot past the North Park keeper for his team-leading sixth goal of the season. The score remained tied until the 85th minute, when a defensive miscue cost the Spartans an 'own goal'. It would prove to be the deciding score in the match.

Rochester Yellowjackets (10-2-2, 3-1-0 UAA)

The Yellowjackets defeated The College at Brockport, 2-0, on Monday evening. Geoffrey Rouin scored two goals – one 13 minutes into the second half and the other with less than three minutes to play. It boosted his total to 11 goals this year. Rochester goalkeeper Redd Brown picked up his eighth shutout of the season.

Emory Eagles (11-4-0, 3-1-0 UAA)

The Eagles dropped a non-conference match to Oglethorpe University, 3-1, on Wednesday. An 'own goal' with 1:04 remaining in the first half was all the Emory offense could produce.

Emory wrapped up non-conference play with a 4-0 victory over Berry College on Sunday afternoon. Jason McCartney registered his fourth multi-goal game of the season and fifth of his career with back-to-back tallies less than five minutes apart.
