2017: Named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Great Lakes Region Third Team, the All-University Athletic Association First Team and the OCSA All-Ohio Second Team for his efforts during the year...appeared in 17 games for the Spartans, making 16 starts...totaled 1,468 and 13 seconds in net...surrendered just 20 goalsfor a 1.23 goals against average, and made 82 saves for a .804 save percentage...ranked second in the UAA in saves and second in save percentage...earned UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week on September 5...finished the year with a 6-9-2 record and three shutouts...made a season-high eight saves against Brandeis on October 1 and against North Park on October 22...allowed one or fewer goals in 11 of his 17 appearances...in 59 career matches, including 54 starts, Boyle has recorded 287 saves, 23 wins and 14 shutouts...ranks second in program history in wins, tied for second in shutouts and third in saves.
2016: Named to the All-University Athletic Association First Team during his junior season...appeared in 15 games for the Spartans, making 13 starts...totaled 1,337 and 26 seconds in the net...surrrendered just 15 goals for 1.01 goals against average, and made 77 saves for a .837 save percentage...finished the year with a 3-8-3 overall record and five shutouts...made a season-high 10 saves and shutout Kenyon College on September 27th...his .837 save percentage ranked second in the UAA and his 77 saves ranked third...allowed one or fewer goals in 10 of his 15 appearances...Through three season, he ranks fourth in the program's history with a 0.95 career GAA, fourth with 17 wins, fourth with 11 shutouts and fifth with 205 saves.
2015: Started 11 games in goal for the Spartans during his sophomore season… Totaled 934 minutes and 51 seconds in the net… surrendered just nine goals for a 0.87 goals against average, and made 48 saves for a .842 save percentage… Finished the year with a 7-3-1 overall record and one shutout… The lone shutout came during the team’s 1-0 double-overtime win over Carnegie Mellon on November 7th… Made a career-high nine saves in the game… Led all University Athletic Association keepers and was 36th in Division III in save percentage… Was 72nd among DIII keepers in goals-against average… His GAA was the seventh-lowest in a single season in the program’s history… Allowed one or fewer goals in 10 of his 11 appearances… Through two seasons, he ranks third in the program’s history with a 0.92 career GAA, fourth with 14 wins, tied for fifth with six shutouts and eighth with 128 saves.
2014: Played in all 17 matches with 16 starts at goalkeeper…finished first in the UAA after recording 80 saves…tallied five shutouts...earned All-UAA honorable mention.
Personal: Earned four varsity letters in soccer and two in tennis at Chartiers Valley High School…All-Pennsylvania selection as a senior…three-year all-section honoree…AP Scholar with Distinction…son of Robert and Mary Boyle.
