    Behind a career-high 30 points from senior guard Monty Khela in the final home game of his collegiate career, the Case Western Reserve University men’s basketball team upset eighth-ranked Emory University 83-78 on Sunday afternoon at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio on “Senior Day.”
  • Spartan Men Prevail Over Rochester 88-87 in Overtime

    For the second straight time, the Case Western Reserve University and University of Rochester men’s basketball teams needed more than 40 minutes to decide a winner. This time, on Friday night at Horsburgh Gymnasium in Cleveland, Ohio, the Spartans emerged victorious, 88-87 in overtime, improving to 12-11 on the season and 5-7 in the University Athletic Association. The Yellowjackets, who won the first contest between the teams earlier in the season in overtime at home, fell to 15-8 and 6-6 in the UAA.

  • Men’s Basketball Returns to Cleveland for Final Home Games, Including ‘Senior Day’

    The Case Western Reserve University men’s basketball team returns to Horsburgh Gymnasium for its final two home games of the season this weekend. On Friday, February 21, the Spartans host the University of Rochester at 8 p.m. Then, on Sunday, February 23, eighth-ranked Emory visits Cleveland for a noon game. Prior to the Sunday contest, the Spartans will celebrate their graduating team members with a special “Senior Day” presentation.

Then, the team heads to Chicago on Sunday, February 16 to face the University of Chicago at 1 p.m. ET.
