Case Western Reserve University junior forward Michael Hollis (Cleveland, Ohio / St. Ignatius) was named to the All-University Athletic Association Second Team, based on his play during the 2018-19 campaign for the Spartans.
This was the first career All-UAA honor for Hollis.
Hollis was one of just two players to start all 25 games during the season for Case Western Reserve, ranking third on the team with 9.4 points per game. He finished the year leading all conference players with 9.5 rebounds per game, the 64th-best mark among Division III players during the season. Hollis also led all UAA players and was 37th in Division III with 3.44 offensive rebounds per game. His 238 rebounds during the year were the fifth-most ever in a single season by a CWRU player.
In addition to leading the league in rebounding, Hollis also paced the conference with 1.6 steals per game and 41 total steals, while finishing fourth in the UAA with 1.0 blocks per game. His 2.8 assists per game led all CWRU players with 10 or more minutes played per game, as did his 48.6% shooting mark from the floor.
Hollis averaged 9.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in the team's 14 UAA contests during the year. He finished the campaign with four double-doubles, including a 20-point, 12-rebound performance at Emory on January 18th. He scored a career-best 23 points against Albion on November 9th, and notched a career-high 17 rebounds at Adrian on December 4th.
The Spartans finished their 2018-19 season with a 9-16 overall record, including a 2-12 mark in conference play.
