Hollis Named UAA Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

Case Western Reserve University junior forward Michael Hollis was named the first University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for Men's Basketball in 2018-19, after leading the Spartans to a season-opening 89-80 win over Albion College with a perfect shooting day from the floor.

Hollis scored a career-high 23 points, shooting seven-for-seven from the floor and nine-for-nine from the free throw line.  He also paced the squad with nine rebound and three assists, while collecting a steal and a block during his 27 minutes of action.  Hollis did the majority of his damage in the second half of the game totaling 17 points and six rebounds over the game's final 20 minutes, including 10 points in the last five minutes to help CWRU cement its lead late.

This was the first UAA Athlete of the Week honor of Hollis' career.
