    Three members of the Case Western Reserve University football team – junior offensive lineman Dee Gose (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area), junior linebacker Travis Johnston (Zanesville, Ohio/ Bishop Rosencrans) and senior defensive lineman Andrew Lease (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Seton-LaSalle Catholic) – were named to the 2019 Academic All-America Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), for their academic and athletic achievements during the season.

    The 25th-ranked Case Western Reserve University football team was unable to maintain the momentum of a strong first half, as the Union College Dutchmen outscored the Spartans 21-0 in the second half to claim a come-from-behind 24-21 win in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships in Schenectady, New York on Saturday afternoon.

    Case Western Reserve University senior defensive end Cameron Brown was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Defensive Most Valuable Player for the second-straight year, and Greg Debeljak was selected as the PAC Coach of the Year, headlining the list of CWRU all-conference honorees, released by the league on Tuesday.

  • #21/17 Spartans Pull Away From Bethany on ‘Senior Day,’ Clinch Share of PAC Title

    On “Senior Day” at DiSanto Field, the #21/17 Case Western Reserve University football team used three second half touchdowns to pull away from Bethany in a 35-14 win to clinch at least a share of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference title on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans (8-0, 7-0 PAC) need just one win more to clinch the outright title and the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs. Bethany fell to 3-5 and 3-4 in the PAC.
  • Wyant Varsity Club Open to Students for Saturday’s Football Game

    Case Western Reserve University students are invited to watch Saturday’s ‘Senior Day’ football game from the balcony of the Varsity Club inside the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center. The game against Bethany College is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff on November 2nd, and will be preceded by the ‘Senior Day’ ceremony.

  • #21/17 Spartans Aim to Clinch Share of PAC Title during ‘Senior Day’ Saturday against Bethany

    The no. 21/17 Case Western Reserve University Spartans (7-0, 6-0 PAC) will play their final home game of the 2019 regular season on Saturday, November 2nd, as they look to lock up at least a share of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championship against Bethany College (3-4, 3-3 PAC).  Saturday’s game, which is slated for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff, will also mark ‘Senior Day’ for CWRU, as the team will honor its graduating class with a special ceremony prior to the start of the game.
