Senior (2017): Selected to the D3football.com All-South Region Third Team… Named to the All-PAC and All-UAA First Teams… Became the first Spartan to rush for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons, finishing the year with a career-high 1,110 yards (40th in DIII)… It marked just the fifth 1,000 yard rushing season ever by a Spartan… He added a career-high 17 rushing touchdowns (leading the PAC & 10th in DIII), the second-most in a single season in program history… Played in all 12 games and made 11 starts… Averaged 4.9 yards per carry, while catching five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown… Was 38th in DIII and led the PAC with 9.0 points per game, while ranking 13th in DIII and leading the conference with 18 total touchdowns… 15th among DIII players and first in the PAC with 108 total points… Rushed for over 100 yards five times during the year, including a season-high 167 yards against Washington on October 28, earning UAA Offensive Player of the Week honors… Also earned UAA Athlete of the Week honors on September 18 after rushing for 104 yards and matching a program record with four rushing touchdowns… Named both the UAA and PAC Athlete of the Week after helping the Spartans to a win over Westminster on November 4 with 160 yards and three touchdowns… Finished his career sixth in school history with 2,267 career rushing yards, second with 34 rushing touchdowns, and is the team’s all-time leader with 5.49 yards per carry over his career… In addition, his 216 points scored are the second-most in CWRU history by a non-kicker, and the fourth-most overall.

Junior (2016): Earned All-PAC and All-UAA Second Team honors as a running back during his junior season… Started eight games and played in all 10 during the year, and was the team’s featured back, carrying the ball172 times… Became the fourth player in school history with over 1,000 rushing yards in a season, finishing the campaign with 1,065 yards… His 16 rushing touchdowns were the second-most in a single season in school history, while his 6.19 yards per carry is the best mark ever by a Spartan player…Finished the season ranked 14th in Division III in scoring (10.2 points per game), 18th in rushing touchdowns, 21st in total touchdowns (17), 25th in total points scored (102), 37th in rushing yards per game (106.5), and 40th in rushing yards… Added four receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown during the year… Rushed for a touchdown in eight of the team’s ten games… Had four games of over 100 yards rushing, including a career-best 193 yard effort against Bethany on October 8th, the 12th-most rushing yards in a single game in school history… Ran for 163 yards and matched a school record with four rushing touchdowns against Waynesburg on September 24th, earning UAA Offensive Player of the Week honors… Rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns, and caught a TD pass against Washington on October 29th… Had a career-long 61-yard run and rushed for 183 total yards during the team’s win over Saint Vincent on October 1st… Was also the team’s primary punter during the year, averaging 39.7 yards on his 26 punts, including four punts of over 50 yards and eight punts inside the team’s 20-yard line.

Sophomore (2015): Selected to the All-UAA Second Team and an honorable mention to the All-PAC team as a punter… named to the D3football.com Team of the Week and the UAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week after punting seven times for an average of 43.6 yards, including a career-long 71-yard punt… saw action in nine of the team’s 10 games during the season… punted 31 times for an average of 40.4 yards, landing four inside the 20-yard line… had seven punts of 50 yards or longer… also rushed nine times for 58 yards during the season, including an 11-yard scoring run against St. Vincent on September 19th.  

Freshman (2014): Named to the All-UAA Second Team…appeared in seven games during the campaign…punted 13 times during the year for 500 yards, averaging 38.5 yard per punt…had two punts of over 50 yards, including a season-long 57 yarder against Thomas More on November 8…recorded six punts inside the 20 yard line and forced three fair catches…added 34 rushing yards on seven attempts during the year, including a season-long 11-yard run against Carnegie Mellon on September 6…notched a 21-yard reception against Thomas More.

Personal: Earned four varsity letters in football as well as three in wrestling at Northridge High School…four-year starter and two-year captain on the gridiron…All-Central Ohio Honorable Mention…also second-team All-Licking County League and second-team All-Metro…district qualifier in wrestling for state final four team…Northridge dean’s list student…class historian…son of Eric and Gen Potts as well as William and Jessica Burke.
