23 Spartans Named to PAC Academic Fall Honor Roll

Twenty-three members of the Case Western Reserve University football team were selected to the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, based on their scholastic achievements during the 2016 season.

The PAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes on varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.  A total of 529 student-athletes received the honor from the conference.

Spartans claiming PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition included freshman offensive lineman Aedan Ayer, junior linebacker Andrew Banathy, junior offensive lineman Gage Blair, senior linebacker Tim Briercheck, sophomore offensive lineman Chaz Brown, sophomore defensive lineman Tyler Bushman, junior safety Cody Calhoun, senior offensive lineman Dante Capicchioni, junior kicker Ben Carniol, junior linebacker Chanan Demery, senior defensive lineman Tyler Doty, sophomore linebacker Matt Gallagher, freshman running back Sam Jenkins, senior cornerback Nick Kwon, freshman defensive lineman Andrew Lease, senior linebacker Zach Lyon, sophomore defensive lineman Brian McNamara, senior tight end Zech Medved, freshman wide receiver Chan Park, freshman defensive lineman Adam Poltrack, freshman running back Brandon Rabah, senior offensive lineman Robbie Sabatelle and senior cornerback Owen Williams.

Case Western Reserve, a football affiliate member of the PAC, finished the 2016 season with a 9-1 overall record, claiming a second-place finish in the conference standings.
