    The Spartan Club, in coordination with the Case Western Reserve University Department of Athletics, has announced its 2017 Hall of Fame Class – Aaron Johnston-Peck (Cross Country/ Track & Field, CWRU ’07), David Kallevig (Football, CWRU ’05), Carson Oren (Men’s Basketball, CWRU ’06), Meredith Stakem (Swimming & Diving, CWRU ’03), Ed Trebets (Football & Baseball, CWRU ’93), heritage selection Jack Larimer (Track & Field, WRU ’63) and special category inductee Si Ostrach.

    Case Western Reserve University senior wide receiver Brendan Lynch (Sarver, Pa. / Freeport Area) and senior cornerback Nick Kwon (Kaneohe, Hawaii / Mid-Pacific Institute) were each named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Division III Football Team, based on their accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom during their collegiate careers.

    Case Western Reserve University junior quarterback Rob Cuda was named the University Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year, headlining a list of 21 Spartans who received an All-UAA honor for the 2016 season, while the Spartans’ coaching staff, led by Head Coach Greg Debeljak, was named the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
