GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Baird Brothers' Trophy, awarded annually to the winner of the Case Western Reserve University versus The College of Wooster football game since 1984, was featured on the Saturday, October 20 edition of ESPN College GameDay.

The nation's top-ranked college football show aired live from Gainesville, Florida prior to the SEC showdown between No. 2 University of Florida and No. 7 University of South Carolina. ESPN personality Chris Fowler served as host along with Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard.

The Baird Brothers' Trophy was part of a feature on the history of college football's greatest traveling trophies.

The Baird Brothers' Trophy was introduced during the inaugural meeting between the two schools by Bob Baird, an economics professor at Case, and Bill Baird, an economics professor at Wooster. The brothers incorporated their passion for fishing into the rivalry by rewarding the winning team each season with a golden fishing stringer with carved brass fish representing each meeting.
