    CHICAGO, Ill. – Senior wide receiver Zach Homyk (Chicago, IL/St. Ignatius Prep) broke a school-record for receptions in a season and the Spartan defense forced four turnovers, but it wasn’t enough as the 23rd-ranked (AFCA) Case Western Reserve University football team lost by a score of 24-20 at the University of Chicago in its University Athletic Association opener on Saturday, October 30 at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field. The loss snapped Case’s 38-game regular season win streak.

The meeting was the first between the two schools since the 1988 season.
