The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's cross country teams were each recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches as All-Academic Teams, while nine team members received All-Academic honors.
Individuals honored included junior Grace Jackson, senior Julia Kocherzat, and first-year Ashley Novak of the women's team and senior Jack Begley, junior Stephen Henry, senior Joe Jaster, senior Liam O'Reilly, senior Robert St. Clair, and senior Logan Singer from the men's team.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet. A total of 320 men and 383 women across Division III received the honor this year.
In order for a team to earn all All-Academic distinction, it must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The CWRU women have recorded a 3.70 cumulative GPA, the 47th-highest in Division III, while the men's team's 3.67 GPA was the 19th-highest among DIII programs. A total of 212 women's teams and 189 men's programs were recognized with the honor.
The CWRU men finished the 2022 season second in the region and 28th at the NCAA Championship, while the women placed 10th at the regional meet.
