Rebecca Copeland rejoined the Case Western Reserve University Department of Physical Education and Athletics in March 2015 as the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations.
Her wide range of responsibilities include the scheduling and oversight of the departments many athletic facilities, including the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center, the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center, Adelbert Gymnasium, DiSanto Field, Mather Park, and Nobby’s Ballpark, among others. In addition, she oversees game day operations for all varsity sports. She also has sport supervision responsibilities with the softball, swimming and diving and men's tennis programs.
Copeland initially served as the Facility Manager for the department from November 2004 through July 2007, before leaving for Johns Hopkins to become the Assistant Athletics Director for Game Operations. She returned to Case Western Reserve in 2013 as the Assistant Director of University Events prior to her return to Athletics.
Over her career, Copeland has also worked as the Coordinator of Team Operations for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Gund Arena, and as the Manager of Operations and Programs for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
Copeland received her Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science with a minor in Business Administration from Ohio University, and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
