With next year marking the 50th-year of athletic competition at CWRU, we will be taking a look back at some of the teams and alumni throughout the program's history. Each Friday, we will be interviewing alumni throughout the school's history on their experience at the University, and what they have done since their time as athletes.

This week, we spoke with James C. Wyant, Ph.D., a 1965 graduate of the Case Insitute of Technology, a member of the track and field and cross country teams, and a 2016 inductee into the Spartan Club Hall of Fame. Since graduating, Wyant has gone on to become one of the world's most renowned optical scientists, and has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Case Western Reserve University.
