Case Western Reserve University Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations Rebecca Copeland and two members of her staff – Jeff Kingery and Kate-Lynn Urgo – have been selected to participate in the Gameday the DIII Way program at the Disney Institute in Orlando, Florida on June 12th and 13th.
Gameday the DIII Way is an innovative and unique approach designed to achieve better fan decorum at athletics events around the country. The program was created by the Division III Sportsmanship and Game Environment Working Group, in conjunction with the Disney Institute, with the goal of improving the behavior of parents and fans and ensuring that all Division III student-athletes have a rewarding experience. Through the program, Division III institutions will be assisted in providing exceptional levels of guest service and event expectations that are consistent throughout the membership.
Leaders from across Division III and the Disney Institute will be participating in the program's ambassador training, which is designed to help senior administrators understand how to implement Game day the DIII Way on their campus. The day and a half training will be conducted by professional facilitators from the Disney Institute. The program will take a deeper dive into how the Disney service culture can be integrated into Division III events.
