Case Western Reserve University senior Andrew Ibibo, a sprinter on the men’s track and field team, and sophomore Ilissa Hamilton, a pitcher on the softball team, have been named the Spartan Club Athletes of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

Ibibo led the Spartan men at the Harrison Dillard Twilight meet this past weekend, as he posted two top-eight finishes at the meet. Ibibo finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time 48.36 seconds, which is the second-fastest mark in the UAA, 29th-fastest time in Division III this season and the second-fastest all-time mark in program history.

Hamilton led the Spartans to a 4-1 record this past weekend at the NCAA Regional Tournament in Notre Dame, Indiana. CWRU will now advance to the NCAA Super Regionals next weekend. Hamilton went 4-1 on the mound, allowing only three earned runs in 29.0 innings pitched, while striking out 23 batters. At the plate, she went four-for-14 with one double and two runs batted in.
