Berry led the Spartan offense during the team's series win over the University of Chicago last weekend at the Stagg Grass Field in Chicago. Berry hit .625 (five-for-eight) with a .667 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage across the three-game set. She drove in a team-high eight runs, scored five times, stole a pair of bases, and had three extra-base hits for a 2.011 on-base plus slugging. She started the weekend with a three-hit performance with two RBI, falling a double shy of the cycle in an 11-3 five-inning win. In the contest, Berry slugged her second homer of the season and recorded her first career triple. She drove in three runs in a 7-2 victory on Saturday, scoring twice and stealing a base. In the series finale, Berry contributed to four of the team's five runs in a 6-5 loss, driving in three runs and scoring once. She had a double and a steal in the game. In 30 games this season, Berry has a .322 batting average (third-best on the team) with a squad-pacing 33 RBI on seven doubles, one triple, and two home runs. CWRU improved to 20-10 overall and 8-4 in conference play after the 2-1 weekend.
