Meng set a school and pool record in the 1000 Free as the 14th-ranked Spartans upset sixth-ranked Kenyon 169-128 in a dual meet on Saturday. Meng won the event in 9:26.40 to set both records. His time currently ranks 11th in Division III and fifth in the UAA. Meng bested his own school record of 9:27.83 from last season and bested the pool record of 9:33.43 that was set by Bruce Milburn of Emory in 2007. He also placed second in the 100 IM with a time of 51.33 seconds, which is the fastest time in the UAA and 11th-fastest in Division III. CWRU finished the season with a record of 5-1 in dual meets and won its first dual over Kenyon since November 2011.
