The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team will be traveling to Chicago, Illinois for the 2017 University Athletic Association Round Robin #2, hosted by the University of Chicago, on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th.
The Spartans are set to play Brandeis University at 11:30 a.m. ET and fourth-ranked Emory University at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. On Sunday, CWRU will face the 13th-ranked University of Chicago at 1:00 p.m. ET and then the University of Rochester (N.Y.) at 3:00 p.m. ET to conclude the second University Athletic Association Round Robin hosted by the University of Chicago.

CWRU Spartans (13-7, 2-1 UAA)
The Spartans are eager to return to the court after picking up two wins at the first UAA Round Robin in the beginning of the month. Led by sophomore outside hitter Brianna Lemon and sophomore middle hitter Haley Sims, who average 3.14 and 2.56 kills per set, respectively. Sophomore outside hitter Karley King also contributes to the attack averaging 2.28 kills per set. Setting for the Spartans is sophomore Faith Ellis, who records 7.09 assists per set for the Spartan offense. Lemon tallies 3.13 digs per set, while junior defensive specialist Noel Jeansonne records 3.08 a set and sophomore defensive specialist Christine Tamura adds 2.93 digs per set.
The Spartans are guided by Head Coach Karen Farrell in her 16th season at CWRU along with Associate Head Coach Nelson Wittenmyer. She is also assisted by Jeff Harrah, Kim Waters, Katie Best and Dani Witri. Coach Farrell is currently two wins shy of 400 for her career.
Brandeis Judges (10-6, 0-3 UAA)
Sophomore middle hitter Emma Bartlett averages 2.30 kills per set and junior outside hitter She Decker-Jacoby adds 2.25 kills per set. Junior setter Leah Pearlman leads the Judges in assists, averaging 5.17 per set. Defensively, junior libero Yvette Cho picks up 5.08 digs per set.
The Judges are under the leadership of Alesia Vaccari in her fourth season and she is assisted by Lauren Yung.
#4 Emory Eagles (17-3, 2-1 UAA)
The Eagles are led by sophomore outside hitter Morgan McKnight. McKnight averages 3.13 kills per set and 1.15 digs per set. Junior setter Mady Arles averages 6.41 assists per set. In the back row, sophomore libero Elyse Thompson is tallying a team-high 5.11 digs per set.
Emory is coached by Jenny McDowell in her 22nd season and she is assisted by Brianna Jones, Scott Shelley, Kyle Landrigan, Sydney Miles and Jessica Holler.
#13 Chicago Maroons (17-3, 3-0 UAA)
Junior outside hitter Audrey Scrafford and junior right side hitter Sarah Muisenga average 3.60 and 3.20 kills per set, respectively. Setting for the Maroons, freshman Emma Griffith is averaging a team-high 10.24 assists per set. Sophomore libero Anne Marie Stifter and Muisenga serve as the top players in the back row averaging 4.62 and 3.19 digs per set, respectively.
The Maroons are under the leadership of Sharon Dingman in her fourth season. Dingman is assisted by Jacqui Nielson and Thom Guzi.
Rochester Yellowjackets (11-7, 1-2 UAA)
The Yellowjackets are led by junior outside hitter Alara Kocak who averages 3.12 kills per set as well as 0.71 digs per set. Junior middle blocker Clara Martinez also contributes to the attack with 2.31 kills per set. Freshman Renae Lapins serves as the main setter for the Yellowjackets averaging 5.76 assists per set. In the back row, junior libero Courtney Vidovich averages a team-high 5.06 digs per game.
Rochester is coached by Ladi Iya in her 10th season and she is assisted by Roger Majeski, Quinn Wright, Emily Crosby and Falcon Yi.
