Track & Field Looks to Better Qualifying Marks in Final Meet Before NCAA’s

The Case Western Reserve University track and field team will have one final chance to improve on its qualifying marks for the NCAA Division III Championships, when the team heads to the Great Lakes Elite Meet at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio on Thursday, May 18th.

Field events at the meet are scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start on Thursday, with events on the track scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start. For a full list of the scheduled events, click here.

Currently scheduled to compete for the Spartans are junior Cassandra Laios in the hammer throw, junior Rachel Willard in the triple jump, junior Nimi Gupta in the hammer throw, junior Zak Hurd in the 100-meter dash, junior Ben Zelkin in the 100-meter dash, freshman Dominic Oddo in the 100-meter dash, 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles, senior Nathaniel Wahner in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash, junior Adrian Cannon in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash, freshman Jonathan Haling in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash, sophomore Joseph Cabral in the 800-meter run, senior Galen Caldwell in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Ananth Suresh in the triple jump, sophomore Tyler Bushman in the hammer throw and the men's 4x100-meter relay team of Wahner, Cannon, Zelkin and Hurd.
