Spartan Swimming & Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Award; Three Men Receive Individual Awards
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's swimming & diving programs each earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team awards for the 2010-11 year. In addition, three student-athletes from the men's side were named Scholar All-Americans.

Spartan Swimming & Diving Teams Rank High in Scholar All-American Team Lists
CHICAGO, Ill. – After a superlative performance at the University Athletic Association Championships last weekend, the accolades continue to roll in for the Case Western Reserve University Swimming & Diving program. Both the men’s and women’s squads are ranked in the top-20 on the annual College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team lists.

Milliken and Wylam Named UAA Men's Coaching Staff of the Year; Spartans Break 10 School-Records and Hit 12 Qualifying Marks
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In their first season at Case Western Reserve University, swimming & diving head coach Doug Milliken and assistant Emily Wylam have been named the University Athletic Association Men’s Coaching Staff of the Year. In addition, the Spartan men and women combined to break 10 school-records and hit 12 NCAA B-Cut Qualifying marks at the UAA Championship this past weekend.

Case Men Finish Fourth, Women Sixth at 2011 UAA Swimming & Diving Championships
WEBSTER, N.Y. – The Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams picked up two more medals on the final day (Saturday, Feb. 19) of the 2011 University Athletic Association Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center. The Spartan men wrapped up the meet fourth overall, recording 1,117 team points. The women’s squad was sixth with a tally of 763.5.

Spartan Swimming & Diving Takes Three Medals on Third Day of 2011 UAA Championship
WEBSTER, N.Y. – It was a medal-winning day for the Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams as two athletes scored top-three finishes and another relay team took third on day three of the 2011 UAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Rochester at the Webster Aquatic Center.

Case Western Reserve Continues Competition at 2011 UAA Championships
WEBSTER, N.Y. – Through 12 events and two days at the 2011 University Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships, the Case Western Reserve University men’s swimming & diving squad holds control of third position behind Emory University (GA) and Carnegie Mellon University (PA) with a team score of 307 points. On the women’s side, the Spartans sit in sixth place with 220 points after the completion of 11 events.

Five Spartans Earn UAA Athlete of the Week Honors
PITTSFORD, N.Y. – A quintet of Case Western Reserve University student-athletes were named University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week,announced the league office on Tuesday, February 1. Junior wrestler Isaac Dukes (Ravenna, OH/Ravenna), senior swimmer Robby Browning (Grosse Pointe, MI/Grosse Pointe South), freshman swimmer Maggie Dillione (Newton, PA/Council Rock North), junior track & field thrower Amanda Kline (Lancaster, OH/Lancaster), and freshman track & field thrower Harry Weintraub (Croton-on-Hudson, NY/Hendrick Hudson) were all honored for their accomplishments over the weekend.

Spartan Swimming & Diving Teams Sweep ONU on Seniors’ Day
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams swept visiting Ohio Northern University on Seniors’ Day (Saturday, January 29) at the Veale Natatorium. The men were victorious 190-108 and the women won 163-131 behind an NCAA B-Cut qualifying mark in the 100-yard butterfly by freshman Maggie Dillione (Newton, PA/Council Rock).

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming & diving programs rank sixth and seventh in Division III, respectively, in the latest CollegeSwimming.com/ Avidasports Performance rankings. The rankings measure each team’s improvement against past performances and compare that metric to those of other programs.

Dillione Shatters 200 Fly School Record as Spartan Swimming & Diving Splits with Allegheny
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Freshman Maggie Dillione (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) recorded an NCAA B-Cut qualifying time of 2:06.28 in addition to setting a school and pool record in the 200-yard butterfly as the Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads split a dual meet with Allegheny College (PA) on Saturday, January 22 at the Veale Natatorium.

CWRU Swimming & Diving Pulls in Two UAA Athlete of the Week Awards
PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Two Case Western Reserve University swimming & diving student-athletes were selected as University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday, January 10. Freshman diver Dan Jacobson (Solon, OH/Solon) and classmate Maggie Dillione (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) were recognized for their roles in the Spartans’ dual meet sweep of Notre Dame College (OH) on Saturday.

Spartan Men’s, Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams Both Winners against Notre Dame College
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's swimming programs were both winners on Saturday, January 8, edging Notre Dame College in a dual meet in the Veale Natatorium. Freshman diver Dan Jacobson (Solon, OH/Solon) took first on both boards as the men's team earned a 123.5-99.5 decision. Another rookie, Maggie Dillione (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North), paced the women with two wins in the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle as the women's squad won 108-88.

Spartan Men Win Wooster Invite, Women Sixth; Browning Breaks School 100 Back Record
WOOSTER, Ohio – After three days of competition at the College of Wooster Invitational, the Case Western Reserve University men’s swimming team finished first overall by a half-point (1,371.5) to edge Edinboro University (PA), while the women’s team scored a sixth-place finish with 818 points amongst the 10 competing schools. Highlighting the weekend was a school-record performance in the 100-yard backstroke by senior Robby Browning (Grosse Pointe, MI/Grosse Point South).

Spartan Swimming and Diving Competes at Grove City Tri-Match
Grove City, Pa. - The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving teams were both in action on Saturday, November 20 at a tri-meet against hosting Grove City College (PA) and Kenyon College. The men’s team dropped a close meet, 147-130, against Kenyon College and also lost 192-95 to Grove City. On the women’s side, Case was defeated 196-97 by the hosts and also took a loss, 162-98 against Kenyon College.

Case Men’s Swimming Takes Title, Women Split at Veal Classic Duals
CLEVELAND, Ohio –The Case Western Reserve University men’s swimming & diving team faced off with Oberlin College in the Veale Classic Duals Championships on Saturday, November 13 and came away with a 152-62 win to cap a 2-0 weekend. The women’s team won the consolation meet, beating John Carroll University, 103-90.

Spartan Swimming & Diving Program Recognized in National Poll
CLEVELAND, Ohio – With a new head coach and plenty of new faces, the Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams have each started the season either ranked or receiving votes in the first 2010-11 TYR/College Swim Coaches Association of America Poll. The men’s squad is ranked No. 23 overall, while the women’s team is receiving the 30th most votes in the nation (37).

Case Kicks off 2010-11 Swimming Season with Successful Meet at the University of Rochester
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving teams kicked off their 2010-11 season this weekend at the University of Rochester tri-meet, competing with the host team and New York University. The Spartan men won three individual events and two relays and defeated both NYU (205-154) and UR (244-116), while the women’s team had four solo winners and one relay champ splitting a win versus UR (179.5-174.5) and a loss against NYU (179.5-171.5) at the two-day event.

2010-11 Spartan Swimming & Diving Preview
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A new era begins for the Case Western Reserve University men’s and women’s swimming and diving program in 2010-11. Under the tutelage of first-year head coach Doug Milliken, the teams look to improve on last season’s University Athletic Association Championship performance and build a foundation for what the new coach believes will be a different level of success for the program.
