The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team will travel to Berea, Ohio to face the Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. and then host the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears on Saturday, September 16th at 2:30 p.m.

CWRU Spartans (3-1-0)
The Spartans fell to Penn State Behrend College, 1-0, on Wednesday evening at DiSanto Field. After a scoreless first half, Behrend's Amanda Donohue scored a goal in the 75th minute which ended up being the difference in the match. CWRU fought hard all match and came close to scoring on several occasions in the second half.
Freshman Abby DeCicco broke a 1-1 tie six minutes into the first overtime with her first career goal, giving the Spartans a 2-1 overtime victory at Allegheny College on Saturday. Sophomore Ana Petropoulos opened the scoring with a free kick from approximately 35 yards out, sending it inside the crossbar. Allegheny responded with a goal in the 80th minute, but then DeCicco struck for the game winning goal in the 96th minute of play, launching a shot through traffic from approximately 20 yards out.
Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets (2-3-0)
The Yellow Jackets suffered three losses this past week, falling 3-1 to Oberlin College on Tuesday, dropping a 2-1 game in overtime to Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, and losing 2-0 to Buffalo State on Sunday.
BW is led offensively by senior Alex Elliot who has scored three goals for six points this season. Junior Alex Bender has also played a major role as she leads the squad with eight points on two goals and four assists. In net, sophomores Emma Bruno and Sophia Weidner have split time throughout the first five games of the season. Bruno has recorded a 2-1 record with 14 saves, while Weidner has a record of 0-2 and has made 10 saves this season.
Ohio Northern Polar Bears (2-1-1)
The Polar Bears went 1-0-1 this past weekend, earning a 1-0 victory over DePauw University on Friday and playing to a 0-0 double overtime tie with Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday. In the match against DePauw, ONU's Anna Niemeyer scored the game winning goal in the 12th minute of play, it was her third goal of the season.
Ohio Northern will play host to Denison University on Wednesday, before traveling to Cleveland to face the Spartans on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Lauren Unterborn has made 21 saves and recorded a .875 save percentage in net this season which ranks first among all University Athletic Association players…The Spartans have totaled 58 shots and 24 shots on goal in its first four games of the 2017 campaign…CWRU has held opponents to averages of just six shots on goal per game, and 12.5 shots per contest.
