Spartan Softball Hosts Youth Clinic over the Weekend

The Case Western Reserve University softball team put on a free youth clinic through the SPC Hot Sox youth Fastpitch teams. The skills clinic was held this past Saturday, October 8th at Mather Park.

SPC Hotsox is an up and coming Travel Softball Organization that is dedicated to serving athletes who are looking for growth, skill and camaraderie in their softball experience. They are based out of Mentor, Ohio but have players from Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake Counties.

"The members of the CWRU softball team are happy to be role models for the youth in our community," said Head Coach Josie Henry. "We are proud to partner with the SPC Hotsox Travel Softball Organization not only on the athletic field, but also by setting a strong example in academics."

The players are members of the 10U, 11U, 12U and 14U teams which is out of Northeast Ohio.
