CWRU Spartans
The Spartans will look to bounce back after getting swept in a doubleheader at Wittenberg University over the weekend, losing 4-1 in the first game to the Tigers, and 8-4 in the second contest.  The two losses dropped Case Western Reserve to 10-16 overall on the season.  The team is batting .302 this season and averaging 5.0 runs per game, while the pitching staff has tallied a 4.05 earned run average with a .294 opponents' batting average.

The Spartans are under the leadership of Head Coach Josie Henry, who is now in her sixth season with the team, and has a career record of 136-95, good for a .589 winning percentage.  Henry is assisted by Ashley Parello, Molly O'Brien and Natalie DeMatteis.

Hiram Terriers
Hiram stands at 5-11 on the year, but after opening the campaign with an 0-10 record, the Terriers have bounced back to win five of their last six games, including a doubleheader split at home against John Carroll University last week.  The Terriers are averaging 3.5 runs per game this season and batting .276 as a team, while pitching to a 4.60 earned run average with a .343 opponents' batting average.

Hiram is coached by second-year skipper Jackie Mangola, who has a 14-34 record during her time with the team.  She is assisted by Erica Bryan.

Matchup History
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 2013 season, when the Spartans swept a home doubleheader against Hiram, winning the first game 5-3, and the second contest 9-1 in five innings.  Current senior Rebecca Molnar pitched in the second game, picking up a complete-game win, allowing just one run on two hits and striking out six batters over five innings of work.
