Title: Assistant Coach/Faculty Advisor

Wojbor Woyczynski, who doubles as the team’s faculty advisor, is in his second season on men’s tennis coaching staff. Woyczynski is a professor in CWRU’s Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics. He also serves as Director of the Case Center for Stochastic and Chaotic Processes in Science and Technology.

Woyczysnki played semi-professional tennis in Poland for the Premiere League Club, Gwardia Wroclaw. Over the past few decades, he has competed in the National USTA circuit and ranked multiple times in the top 10 in the  National  Adult USTA rankings (finished 2014 at # 12, winning in December the Fiesta Bowl Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona) .

A member of the United States team which competed for the Gordon Trophy against Canada, Woyczynski has been involved with the CWRU varsity tennis team since 1982.
