CWRU Men’s Tennis to Split Squad between Two Weekend Competitions

The Case Western Reserve men's tennis team will continue their fall campaign this weekend, as roughly half the squad will compete at the Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational in Mason, Ohio, with another group headed to Oberlin, Ohio for the Oberlin Invitational.

The Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational, held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, is scheduled from Friday, September 15 – 17.  The Spartans are slated to send juniors Oludayo Areke and Rob Stroup, sophomores Sam Concannon, Zach Hennessey, Anthony Kanam and Siddharth Rajupet, and freshmen Matthew Chen and Vivi Vemula to the event.  The format of the competition will be seeded doubles and singles flight.

The Oberlin Invitational, hosted by Oberlin College, will be held on Saturday and Sunday.  Scheduled to be in action for CWRU are sophomores Rajeev Laungani and Henry Squire and freshmen Will Grier, Josh Hsia, Earl Hsieh, Aris Jhaveri, and Austin Lawrence.  Other teams scheduled to be in action at the event, which will feature a round-robin format, include Baldwin Wallace, John Carroll, Ohio Northern, Earlham, Kenyon and Oberlin.

Results and a recap of the Spartans' performances at both events will be posted to athletics.case.edu throughout the weekend.
