No. 10 Spartan Men to Host "Rally for the Cure" and Seniors' Day Event on Saturday

CLEVELAND – For the third season in a row, the Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team will don pink attire as part of a "Rally for the Cure" event that will be held this Saturday, April 19 at Carlton Courts. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

"Our success with this event has grown each year, and we are on track to double the amount of money raised from last season," said senior student-athlete and event organizer, Derek Reinbold (Carmel, Ind./Park Tudor). "Our goal with this event each year is to give Case Western Reserve students as well as our faculty and staff the chance to support the Rally for the Cure initiative and Susan G. Komen for the Cure."

The team will continue to sell t-shirts, hold raffles and accept donations at Saturday's match.

The dual match versus Earlham College (Ind.) will also serve as Seniors' Day with five Spartans playing in the final home matches of their careers.

About Rally for the Cure

Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program that works to spread awareness about breast cancer in support of Susan G. Komen through volunteer organized golf, tennis and social events. Rally was created to empower people to take action in the fight against breast cancer by educating women about the disease and reminding them to get their annual screening to ensure early detection.
