MARIETTA, Ga. – The Tennis Recruiting Network has released its fourth annual NCAA Division III Men's Recruiting Class Top 25 poll, and the incoming class for Case Western Reserve University is ranked 14th in the nation – the best in program history.
With seven incoming players, CWRU was one of six University Athletic Association programs ranked in the Top 25. The UAA tied the New England Small College Athletic Conference with the most schools in the poll.
"We're proud to have a recruiting class ranked in the top 25 once again," said Head Coach Todd Wojtkowski. "The growth of our program is evident as we are one of only 10 schools to rank in this poll in each of its four years of existence."
One incoming Spartan earned a four-star ranking, while five of the remaining six were labeled with two stars. Overall, the incoming class represents five different states.
The newcomers will join a team that finished the season with the No. 13 ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll. That ranking came on the heels of an historic season that ended in the third round of the NCAA Championship Tournament. Led by Wojtkowski, the Wilson/ITA Central Region Coach of the Year, Case shattered the school record for wins and earned the first team berth to the NCAA Championship in school history.
"Not only does this ranking recognize the talented student-athletes we are welcoming to the program, it is also a reflection on the current players on our roster who represent the program at the highest level and take great responsibility in identifying the best fits for our team," said Wojtkowski.
