The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team is set to play Washington (Mo.) University on Friday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m. ET in St. Louis, Missouri and the 13th-ranked University of Chicago on Sunday, October 15th at 12:00 p.m. ET in Chicago, Illinois for a weekend of University Athletic Association games.

CWRU Spartans (5-5-2, 1-1-0 UAA)
The Spartans overcame a late deficit in a 2-2 double overtime tie against Oberlin College on Wednesday. CWRU fell behind early in the match, but junior Christian Lytle was able to collect a rebound in front of the net and return the ball on frame and past the Oberlin keeper to cut the deficit down to 2-1 at the 72:55 mark. The Spartans would strike again with the equalizer seven minutes later as sophomore Taylor Hosley served a ball into the six-yard box from the far side of the field. Junior Alex Besl, on a run to the far post, was able to get a head on the ball, sending it into the back of the net to knot the score at 2-2 in the 80th minute of play.
CWRU defeated New York University 5-1 on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Zachary Senft evened the game at 1-1 in the 28th minute and then freshman Seldon Magruder scored the go-ahead goal in the 32nd minute. The Spartans added to their lead in the second half, as senior Michael Balog scored in the 57th and 58th minutes, and Magruder capped off the Spartan scoring with his second goal of the game at the 64:35 mark.
Washington Bears (6-3-1, 0-2-0 UAA)
The Bears went 0-2 last week with a 3-1 loss against Oglethorpe University and 1-0 loss to the University of Rochester (N.Y.) in double overtime. Freshman Cole Schmitz scored the lone goal for WashU against Oglethorpe on Monday. The Bears suffered a 1-0 loss to Rochester in double overtime on Sunday after Rochester's Geoffrey Rounin scored the game-winner at the 102:15 mark. WashU outshot Rochester 21-16 and had a 12-6 advantage in corner kicks.
#13 Chicago Maroons (11-1-0, 1-1-0 UAA)
The Maroons went 1-1 last week after defeating Carroll (Wis.) University 1-0 on Tuesday, but dropping their first game of the season to Emory University 3-0 on Saturday. In the win against Carroll, junior Max Lopez netted his team-leading 13th goal of the year off an assist by freshman Scott Lich. It was also his seventh-game-winning goal. In the loss against Emory on Saturday, Chicago sustained its first regular-season in 29 games.
Chicago will play host to Carnegie Mellon University on Friday, before welcoming the Spartans to Stagg Field on Sunday.
Senior Michael Balog, junior Alex Besl, sophomore Zachary Senft and freshman Seldon Magruder have each scored four goals for the Spartans this season, while Besl leads the squad with 11 points…Senior goalkeeper Calvin Boyle ranks first among all University Athletic Association players with 59 saves and third with a .843 save percentage…The Spartans have totaled 202 shots and 80 shots on goal this season…CWRU has held opponents to averages of just 6.08 shots on goal per game, and 13.7 shots per contest.
