Men’s Soccer Battles to 0-0 Tie with DePauw University

The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie in double overtime on the road versus DePauw University on Sunday, September 3rd at Reavis Stadium.

The Spartans move to 1-0-1 for the season, while DePauw is now 1-0-1 overall.

Senior Calvin Boyle made three saves in goal for the Spartans, while DePauw's Ben Davis was credited with five stops in net for the Tigers. CWRU outshot DePauw 21-7 for the match, and also held a 10-3 advantage in corners for the day.

Senior forward Michael Balog and sophomore midfielder Zachary Senft each recorded a game-high six shots, while junior Alex Besl and freshman Connor Weber each tallied three shots.

The Spartans are back in action on Friday, September 8th, taking on Calvin College Knights for a 7:30 p.m. game time.
