    A pair of Case Western Reserve University men’s basketball players received all-conference recognition for the 2016-17 season, as junior forward T.J. Duckett was named to the All-University Athletic Association First Team, and senior guard Javier Alvarez earned an honorable mention.

    Case Western Reserve University senior guard and team co-captain Javier Alvarez rang in his ‘Senior Day’ with a career-high 25 points, but it was not enough for the Spartans, who suffered a 79-69 defeat to Carnegie Mellon University at Horsburgh Gymnasium in the team’s final game of the 2016-17 season on Saturday.
