Mike Jones returns for his sixth year as the cornerbacks coach at Case Western Reserve in 2012. Prior to joining the collegiate ranks, Jones was Cleveland Heights High School’s head football coach for seven years (2000-06). He still teaches health and physical education at Cleveland Heights.
Jones was an assistant football coach and head women’s tennis coach at Ohio Northern University from 1994-2000 and served as defensive coordinator and linebackers’ coach his last three years at ONU. Jones also was a high school assistant at Trotwood Madison High School in Dayton, Ohio (1988-2004) and spent the 1987 season coaching in the Dayton Public Schools.
He was a four-year letterwinner at defensive end at Wittenberg University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in health and physical education in 1987. He completed a master’s degree in education at Bluffton College in 1999.
