Adams, English and Opperman Named to Ohio Army National Guard Senior Bowl Roster

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- GameDay Management, Inc. officials have released the rosters for the 2012 Ohio Army National Guard Senior Bowl III, which will be played on Saturday, April 14 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Amongst those named to the game's North Roster are Case Western Reserve University linebacker Jacob Adams (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton), defensive tackle Dale English (Middleburg Heights, Ohio/Holy Name) and guard Tony Opperman (Pickerington, Ohio/St. Charles Preparatory).

"We are thrilled about the level of talent this game has attracted and this year is no exception," said Todd Oliver, President of GameDay Management, Inc. and Owner of OhioCollegeFootball.com. "Both of these rosters are filled with All-American and All-Conference players – which should make for yet another exciting Senior Bowl III."

All three of Case Western Reserve's representatives were chosen to the OhioCollegeFootball.com Division III All-Ohio Team back in the fall.

Adams finished his senior campaign with 94 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, five pass break-ups, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick. The second-year starter and two-time first-team All-University Athletic Association selection also scored a pair of touchdowns with an interception return for score and a reception on a fake field goal. For his career, Adams played in 32 games with 20 starts and totaled 201 tackles, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two blocked kicks and four sacks.

English, also a D3Football.com All-North Region selection, garnered UAA Defensive Player of the Year status and finished his career as one of the top defensive linemen in school history. In 2011, he totaled 53 tackles with UAA-bests of 17 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. CWRU's career sacks leader, English leaves the program as a four-time All-UAA First Team honoree with 215 tackles, 59 TFL, 33 sacks and two interceptions. Also a four-time UAA Defensive Player of the Week, English played in all 42 games during the past four seasons with 32 starts.

Opperman, a three-time first-team All-UAA pick, played in just four games as a senior after suffering what was thought to be a season-ending knee injury in week one. Overall, Opperman was a four-year starter and played in 32 games for his career. During the last two years, the Spartans never lost a game that Opperman played in.

Kickoff for the 2012 ONG Senior Bowl III is set for 1:00 p.m. on April 14.
