CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Thanks to a generous donation by Denny's All Nighter, the Case Western Reserve University Athletic Department will hold its annual Fireworks Night following the Spartans' football home-opener on Saturday, September 10, versus the University of Rochester (N.Y.).
"We are incredibly grateful that Denny's All-Nighter generously supported the fireworks show for this season," said Director of Athletics Dave Diles. "Since 2005, we have worked hard to bring a fireworks show to our campus community and, hopefully, generate excitement around our intercollegiate programs. This support allows us to continue an outstanding event that contributes to campus life for our students, faculty, staff and community."
Denny's All Nighter opens this fall at CWRU. The newly added concept is located in what was formally the Silver Spartan Diner space and is managed by campus foodservice provider, Bon Appétit Management Company. The unique, quick-serve eatery fills a long-time student demand for late-night dining. The menu includes Denny's signature breakfast and lunch dishes, burgers, munchies, the famous "grand slam", iced and frozen coffees and fruit smoothies. Kickoff on Sept. 10 is set for 7:00 p.m. The fireworks show typically begins 5-10 minutes following the conclusion of the game.
