Homyk Earns UAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week Honors After Banner Day at Oberlin

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Case Western Reserve University senior wide receiver Zach Homyk (Chicago, Ill./St. Ignatius Prep) was named the University Athletic Association Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, October 11 after catching 10 passes for a career-high 201 receiving yards in Saturday's 48-36 win at Oberlin College.

Homyk also added two receiving touchdowns as the Spartans stayed unbeaten with their 36th consecutive regular season victory.  The senior has a pair of two-touchdown games in 2010 and six aerial scores overall. For the year, Homyk has amassed 666 yards on 50 receptions and accounted for nearly half (48.4 percent) of the team's receiving yardage.

Homyk, a two-time All-UAA selection and 2010 Campbell Trophy semifinalist, also earned Player of the Week status last November.

The Spartans (5-0) return to action this Saturday, October 16, at Hiram College at 1:00 p.m. at Henry Field.
