Dain McKee enters his second year at Case Western Reserve after being named Assistant Sports Information Director in August of 2011.

He assists in all media relations, publications, marketing, public relations and sponsorships for the 19-team NCAA Division III varsity athletics program at CWRU.

McKee is no stranger to the profession or Division III, as he has served as the assistant sports information director at Kenyon College, The College of Wooster and Christopher Newport University (Va.). At all three institutions that each sponsor 20-plus sports, he was the main contact for numerous varsity teams and helped manage all facets of sports information.

A native of Ashland, Ohio, and a 2003 graduate of Ohio Northern University, McKee's career in sports information began as an student assistant at ONU, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in sport management along with a full minor in communication arts with a concentration in public relations. He was a four-year student assistant in the SID office having worked numerous NCAA Division III Championships and also served each of his four years as the equipment manager, student assistant coach and team manager for the nationally-ranked Polar Bear men’s basketball team.

McKee has been a media relations staff member for 30 NCAA Championship events spanning all three NCAA divisions, including both the men’s and women’s soccer first and second rounds as well as the wrestling regional championship during the 2011-12 season at Case Western Reserve.

He is an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and has served on the organization's publications committee as a contest coordinator.

McKee and his wife, Becky, reside in Medina with their two sons, Brayden and Wyatt, and their infant daughter, Ainslee.
